I recently got a new coffee maker that I love, except for one thing: it's too tall to open the lid for the water reservoir/ coffee filter basket (the only spot available has upper cabinets above it). I was really considering whether it was even worth tugging it out each time I wanted to use it.Enter these sliding trays. I ordered them without much confidence, and upon opening the package, my confidence wasn't much higher. They are plastic. The construction isn't complex—the top just sits on the bottom. I figured i could always return them...You guys. They work great! I put my coffee machine on one. It's heavy, but the tray slid smoothly and stably back and forth. Perfect. I am using the second under my large utensil holder. I've always been annoyed that it's hard to maneuver the taller spatulas and ladles out from it bc there isn't much room under that upper cabinet. Problem solved.I recommend these sliding trays.
Bought this on a whim since I was tired of ducking under cabinets to refill my kurig.Solid and works smoothly. Must be on solid surface when rolling toward you. Great price for two of them. I plan on using second one for top of my front load washer so I dont have to keep dragging the laundry detergent toward me.
Upon opening the box and examining the caddies, I wasn't sure about the sturdiness of them b/c of the way they fit together. One is used for my blender and the other has had my KitchenAid mixer on it.The blender fits easily and the caddy is just right. It is very nice to just slide it forward in order to use the blender.Love that!My concerns about it's sturdiness are resolved there. My blender has a glass container but it wasn't available for a photo!I mix smoothies with frozen fruit, yogurt and ice most often, sometimes with nuts.No shifting or rocking with the blender resting or in use while on the caddy.I had read reviews and had doubts about placing my KitchenAid mixer on it.I figured if it didn't work for the mixer, I'd use it for my InstantPot and/or toaster and get one of the larger caddies I saw elsewhere on Amazon for the mixer. The feet of the KitchenAid mixer just barely made the measurement to rest on the caddy. The body of the mixer has some overhang (same amount on three sides).I positioned the mixer as far back on the caddy as possible so the weight was better balanced. It slides forward okay insofar as a "smooth ride".However, the underside piece of the caddy which allows it to slide lifts up due to the weight of the mixer. I was able to slip one of my flatware knives under the space up to its handle.I used the mixer the other day and I would not leave it running without being near it as it rocked a little bit.I was mixing cookie dough. When it's empty, it does not rock while running. The mixer is heavy and would be a catastrophe for multiple reasons should it go unbalanced and fall off the countertop.I will need to get a different caddy for the mixer. With the caddy, it did fit just barely under the cabinet overhead. So, I have checked out my InstantPot measurements and its feet rest quite well on the caddy. No lifting of the "back" piece of the caddy as with the mixer.Of course, the InstantPot is empty at this time.I will have to see what it does when it's being used.If it works, this means I don't have to use the cutting board I have been using to keep it off the countertop and I will be able to slide it back and forth with no problem.Hopefully, I will remember to make a comment the next time I use the appliance with the caddy. It will be important to me that the InstantPot rests securely since I mostly use the pressure cooking feature.Movement could result in loss of pressure and change in cooking time.I will be interested to see how the caddy works when food is not under pressure and I can slide it back while it cools with a regular lid on top.
