Where do I even begin?! So I have been having MAJOR hair issues for about 4 months now. At first I thought my hair just stopped responding to the natural shampoo I use because it was suddenly always greasy and sticky, and would never fully dry. It was disgusting and embarrassing, and I felt like I always needed to wear it up. I saw stylists, used multiple clarifying treatments, ACV mixtures, etc. Nothing worked and the build up was only getting worse. At one salon, the stylist literally used a pair of scissors to gently scrape my hair, and white build up came off onto the blade. I was so confused why none of the clarifying treatments and other methods I had tried didn’t work. I was doing all of the right things to fix the issue… Or so I thought. It wasn’t until last week that it hit me we might have hard water. Turns out I was right. After doing research, I found out that we actually have pretty hard water. We literally had no idea because we never saw build up on our faucets, and we have a filter on our kitchen sink, so we never noticed any sort of taste. The only thing I did notice (but didn’t connect the dots for a while) was that my hair would smell like pennies after a shower. Moral of the story, it wasn’t product build up in my hair, but rather mineral build up from hard water that left a sticky film on my hair that was impenetrable by shampoo!!!Anyways, after doing further research, I came across this product and I ordered it along with a scalp scrubber to use in the shower. (Definitely recommend this combo.) I used one packet last week, and although I felt like it did remove a lot of the mineral build up, it didn’t get it all. So I waited a week, and decided to use the remaining 2 packets last night (since I have very thick hair, I decided to double up for more coverage), and guys… I could cry! The build up is FINALLY gone!!! My hair has never felt softer, cleaner, or looked shiner in my entire life. It actually looks like I went to a salon to have my hair professionally highlighted because my natural golden-brown highlights are showing again. I wish I would have taken a before picture, but I will include a picture of my brush from when I would brush my hair after showering so you can see the mineral build up that would remain on the brush. I also just slept on my hair so it looks a little frizzy in this pic, but trust me, this product works.
